Hen House Programs

There are three programs being run in the Hen House.

Give a Cluck means you are signing up to join the Hen House

to play your part in closing the gender investment gap.

Here are some actions we know that work.

What will you do to help close the gap?

Here are some ideas:

  • Talk to procurement about purchasing from female founded businesses
  • Review your superannuation with a gender lens
  • Become a SheEO activator
  • Share facts about the gender investment gap with your family and friends
  • Become an active member of the Hen House

Give a Cluck contributes to you building the foundations of the Hen House. Your contribution builds our infrastructure and your nominated action contributes to closing the gender investment gap. Each year all contributors will be brought together to work on the issues and determine what action they will take individually and collectively as part of their membership of the Hen House Co-op.

Our next Incubator is not a program it is a 3 day Hackathon!  Over the last weekend in June, you are invited to #femthefuture of digital platforms, create a co-op owned by the users and with feminist principles embedded in the tech. Want to join us?  You can join virtually or in-person.

Register here

Once you have registered we will be inviting you to get involved in the whole process.

We are also looking for people with specialist knowledge who would be willing to give 30mins of their time and knowledge with the teams. If you have skills in communications, marketing, developing tech, fundraising, legal or customer / user experience you can volunteer to be in the Phone-A-Friend support group here.

We would like to acknowledge support from Stone and Chalk as our venue partner.

Hatched offers support and opportunities for existing female founderds.

Our first Hatched event will showcase five female founded businesses so you can get to know them, support them and find out more about our community.

The event will be a Show and Tell on Saturday 15 May, 10am to 12 noon at Lot 14, Stone and Chalk, North Terrace Adelaide. Registrations are essential, free entry and it is a family friendly event so everyone is very welcome.  Register here
